Having served in Northern Asia for 12 years, and the International Church for 3, we sensed a move from God to plant a church in Vienna, Austria - the heart of Central Europe.
Carrie and I met at Southeastern University, and after several years of serving on staff at a church plant outside of Orlando, decided to folow God's call to Northern Asia. When we answered this call, we didn't know if it would be for 1 year or a lifetime. During our service in Northern Asia we saw God move mightily among the people there. Our last 3 years of ministry were with an international church in the largest city in the world.
We will take our cross-cultural ministry experience to Europe to plant a church in Vienna, Austria, which is more than 50% foreingers, including many Muslims, Buddhists, Athiests and 'nones' - and less than 1.2% evangelical! The needs are great, but our God is greater! This church will be strategically positioned to reach the international community and Viennese alike through contextualization of the Gospel for this city and people.
