Help make Christ known among the unreached peoples of Guinea-Conakry, West Africa.  Guinea-Conakry is a Muslim majority nation of over 13 million people where less than 1% are Evangelical Christians and close to 90% are part of an unreached people group.

AGWM has never had missionaries working in Guinea-Conakry. The Assemblies of God of Guinea was started in 1985 by missionaries from the French Assemblies of God in collaboration with missionaries from Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. However, the French mission no longer has missionaries working in Guinea.

Today, God has opened a new door for the gospel in Guinea. In 2017 there were approximately 70 A/G churches in Guinea. At that time new leadership began mobilizing the church and from then until May of 2024 they have planted 191 new churches.  Their vision is to grow to 500 new churches in the next 10 years. The leaders of the church in Guinea are urgently requesting for AGWM missionaries to partner with them in evangelism, church planting, and training of pastors in order to reach this goal.

We need your help!

AGWM Africa leaders have given a call for missionaries to go to Guinea and the Lord has confirmed in our hearts that he wants us to answer that call. With the Lord’s help in 2025 we will lead the first ever AGWM missionary team to live and work in Guinea.  But we need partners to help us do that. We need partners who will pray with us.  Partners who will support us in our work in Guinea and partners who would also answer the call of God to join us in working in Guinea. The Turney’s missionary bio…

Mark and Victoria Turney have served as missionaries in Africa since 1992 working primarily in the areas of church planting and pastoral training. They have served in the countries of Equatorial Guinea, Namibia and Togo.  Additionally, the Turneys worked with the Acts in Africa (AIA) Initiative from 2006-2019. From 2019 – 2023 the Turneys worked with the West Africa Advanced School of Theology in Lomé, Togo where Mark served as the president of WAAST.
