Why the Church?
The church is the greatest relief agency in the world, and we see it demonstrated in the response of our Fellowship! Relief dollars serve the needy far more efficiently through the local church than through governments and secular relief agencies. Our missionaries and national churches mobilize armies of volunteers as church buildings become distribution centers in times of crisis.

Integrated and Effective Relief
Relief efforts of Assemblies of God World Missions are always integrated with sharing the gospel and establishing the Church.
When feeding the hungry and caring for the suffering, our missionaries always attempt in some way to share the good news about Jesus and connect people with a church.
The truth of God’s Word and the Spirit’s compelling work in our hearts determine that we do missionary work. They also determine how we do that work. The issue really comes down to what we believe.
